THIRTEENTH, FOURTEENTH AND FIFTEENTH POSITIVE COVID-19 CASES REPORTED IN ATCHISON COUNTY, MO
Late last night, Atchison County Health Department was notified that three Atchison County residents have tested positive for COVID-19. The patients are a male in his 20’s, a male in his 50’s and a male in his 80’s. Two cases are linked to a positive case in a different state. All three cases are isolating per guidelines. There are now fifteen confirmed cases for Atchison County. Eleven of the fifteen cases are no longer in isolation.
Atchison County Health Department is working to notify all close contacts to these cases.
The health department urges the public to continue physical distancing by maintaining six (6) feet of separation, to limit in-person interactions, and to practice good hand washing and hygiene. Please avoid touching your face. Please clean phones, devices, and contact surfaces frequently. The health department also recommends wearing a mask when physical distancing cannot be achieved.
If you feel sick with fever or chills, new cough or shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea, please stay home and call your health care provider for guidance regarding symptoms and next steps.
